2. Collection of Information
You provide certain personally identifiable information (such as your e-mail address, name, mailing address, gender, phone number, password; and sales delivery, billing and credit card information) to Arquiste when choosing to participate in various activities on the Site such as ordering products, taking advantage of promotions, entering contests or sweepstakes, responding to surveys, posting messages or subscribing to e-newsletters or other mailing lists. Arquiste uses the Site to provide Arquiste’s services. Arquiste does not collect personal information about individuals except when specifically and knowingly provided by such individuals (“Registered Users”). For example, if you are using the Site to order products, you will be asked to provide personal information such as your name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number and credit card information. This information will only be used by Arquiste and its service providers to communicate with you about, and to fulfill, your order.
3. Disclosure of Information
Because we provide some of our services through contractual arrangements with affiliates, services providers, partners, and other third parties, we and our service partners use your personal information to deliver their services. For example, we must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment for products purchased on this Site; release your address information to the delivery service to deliver products that you ordered; and provide order information to third parties that help us provide customer service. Finally, Arquiste may disclose personal information in special cases: (1) when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) the rights of Arquiste or to anyone that could be harmed by such activities; (2) when we believe in good faith that the law requires it; (3) to any third party to which ownership of our company is transferred via an acquisition, merger, sale of assets or otherwise; and (4) in situations involving threats to the physical safety of any person.
4. How You Can Review or Correct Your Personal Information
You can contact Arquiste by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org learn if we are keeping personal information about you. If Arquiste does have personal information about you, we will provide you with a readable copy of such personal information at no charge. Factual errors in your personal information, including information that is out of date, can be corrected by sending us a request that sufficiently details how your personal information should be corrected. We encourage you to promptly update your personal information with us if it changes.
5. Opt-Out Procedures
You may always opt-out of receiving communications from us by following the directions provided any email you receive from us. To remove any personal information from our database or to not receive future e-mail communications from Arquiste, you can also send an e-mail to email@example.com.
6. Security of Information
The importance of security for all personal information associated with our subscribers is of utmost concern to us. Your personal information is protected in several ways. Your personal information resides on a secure server that only selected Arquiste and contractors have access to via password. We encrypt your personal information and thereby prevent unauthorized parties from viewing such information when it is transmitted to us. In order to most efficiently serve you, credit card transactions and order fulfillment are handled by established third-party banking, processing agents and distribution institutions. They receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information and to process and ship your order. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations of the internet which are beyond our control; (b) the security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Site cannot be guaranteed; and (c) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party.
7. Passive Information Collection
As you navigate through a Site, certain information can be passively collected (that is, gathered without your actively providing the information) using various technologies and means, such as Internet Protocol addresses, cookies, Internet tags, and navigational data collection.
This Site may use Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. An IP Address is a number assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider so you can access the Internet and is generally considered to be non-personally identifiable information, because in most cases an IP address is dynamic (changing each time you connect to the Internet), rather than static (unique to a particular user’s computer). We use your IP address to diagnose problems with our server, report aggregate information, determine the fastest route for your computer to use in connecting to our Site, and administer and improve services to our consumers.
‘Cookies’ are small data files that one of our servers sends to your computer via your Web browser when you connect the Site. Their primary function is to help us remember you by tracking your browsing sessions, which enables us to collect non-personally identifiable information (such as your IP address, browser type, and domain name, etc.), and provide you with a more relevant shopping experience.
“Session” cookies are temporary bits of information that are erased once you exit your Web browser window or otherwise turn your computer off. Session cookies are used to improve navigation on Sites and to collect aggregate statistical information. This Site uses session cookies.
“Persistent” cookies are more permanent bits of information that are placed on the hard drive of your computer and stay there unless you delete the cookie. Persistent cookies store information on your computer for a number of purposes, such as retrieving certain information you have previously provided (e.g., username), helping to determine what areas of the Site visitors find most valuable, and customizing the Site based on your preferences. This Site uses persistent cookies.
